Badass Balm for Muscles and Joints

The athlete and weekend warrior will love this little salve.

Badass Balm is an excellent treatment for the overachiever and occasional Olympian. It is a small tub of relief for overworked, over-stressed, strained, sore muscles.  This product has the bonus of penetrating quickly and deeply into the affected area.

Badass Balm contains capsaicin, which is the active constituent of Cayenne Pepper, and Ginger. Capsaicin gained popularity when found to aid in the treatment of common ailments suffered by athletes and the reduction of ordinary inflamed tenderness. Badass Balm contains St John's Wort, Chamomile, and Arnica. Arnica has been a treatment since the Renaissance as useful in treating pain. 

 Apply by rubbing Badass Balm where you have a muscle, joint, or any spot experiencing soreness. Use Karen's Botanicals' Badass Balm on the affected area, then cover with a cotton wrap, and let this balm work for several hours. You can make your handmade cover at home by cutting the toe-off of clean socks and slipping it on like a tube. Ace bandages also make good wraps. For extra love, try covering the spot with a moist, warm towel for an additional strength treatment. One customer has shared with us that she stands on her feet all day and applies Badass Balm to her feet' soles, and then she wars a pair of socks before retiring for the night for relief. 

One caution: When using Badass Balm, avoid contact with mucous membranes, and never apply this product to open wounds.
